Lake Waramaug House Construction Proceeding Smoothly!

House From Across Lake Waramaug
House From Across Lake Waramaug

Our firm was responsible for permitting a 6 bedroom, approximately 8,000 square foot house, located in Washington, CT overlooking Lake Waramaug.  The project also included a detached barn approximately 2,400 square feet in size.  As you can see from the picture, the house is nestled into the hillside and the approval process was very challenging considering the development area’s proximity to an intermittent watercourse and the fact that we are in the Lake Waramaug Watershed.

The contractor has been diligent in maintaining the proposed sedimentation and erosion controls and as such there as been no impact to the nearby intermittent watercourse or to Lake Waramaug.  I recently visited the clients on site and it was great to see how happy they were to see their dream becoming reality!  The views will be astonishing and each room will have it’s own unique view of Lake Waramaug.
