The office of Arthur H. Howland & Associates is located at 143 West Street in the center of New Milford, Connecticut. We consider ourselves lucky to be in the historic “Bleachery” building with 18 foot vaulted ceilings and a scenic view of the Housatonic River from our windows.

New Milford, which celebrated its tricentennial in 2007, offers a great deal of New England history. It also offers a quaint downtown and many attractions for the outdoor enthusiast and those simply looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of cities. New Milford is located on Connecticut’s largest lake, Candlewood Lake, a 5,420 acre lake which is also bordered by New Fairfield, Brookfield, Sherman, and Danbury. Lake Lillinonah, which covers approximately 1,900 acres and is bordered by 5 other towns, is also found in New Milford. Both lakes serve as major attractions to those who enjoy boating, fishing, and other water sports. The Housatonic River which provides a portion of the electric power to the region also provides many areas for those looking for picturesque scenery to photograph and hike through.
New Milford is approximately 20 minutes away from the center of Danbury, 40 minutes from the center of Waterbury, and about 1 hour and 15 minutes to the centers of New Haven and Hartford. New Milford is also approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from New York City and 1 hour to Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
