The mission of the Bridgewater Health Department is to prevent disease, maintain a healthy environment and promote community health for the citizens of the Town of Bridgewater. The Department of Health is responsible for protecting the health of the public including but not limited to: reviewing and approving septic and well installation and repairs, reviewing and approving improvements and additions that may impact the septic and/or well, inspecting restaurants. It shall be noted that the Bridgewater Department of Health is a part of the Newtown Health District.
