The mission of the Woodbury Health Department is to prevent disease, maintain a healthy environment and promote community health for the citizens of the Town of Woodbury. The Department of Health is responsible for protecting the health of the public including but not limited to: reviewing and approving septic and well installation and repairs, reviewing and approving improvements and additions that may impact the septic and/or well, inspecting restaurants. It shall be noted that the Woodbury Department of Health is a part of the Pomperaug District Department of Health and all communication and permits are through the Pomperaug District Department of Health.
