Washington Building Department Regulations & Application Forms
The Town of Washington Building Department is responsible for the issuance of building permits and overseeing the construction and demolition of all structures in Town. This also includes improvements made to existing structures.

Washington Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Regulations & Application Forms:

Washington Zoning Regulations & Application Forms:
The purpose of the Zoning Commission is to guide the growth and development of the Town of Washington so as to promote beneficial and convenient relationships among residential, commercial, industrial and public areas within the town in accordance with Section 8 of the Connecticut General Statutes and the Town of Washington Zoning Regulations. Zoning is responsible for the issuance of permits related to commercial and industrial projects (including signs) as well as additions or accessory structures.

The Health Department is responsible for protecting the health of the public including but not limited to: reviewing and approving septic and well installation and repairs, reviewing and approving improvements and additions that may impact the septic and/or well, inspecting restaurants.

The function of the Town of Washington Planning Commission includes but is not limited to: adopt, amend and administer the Subdivision Regulations, deciding upon applications for approval of subdivision or resubdivision plans; to adopt and amend the Towns Plan of Conservation and Development, to review and make recommendations on all proposed municipal improvements, to review and make recommendations to the Zoning Commission on proposed changes to the Zoning Regulations and Zoning Map and the collection/release of road and soil erosion bonds.

Washington Board of Selectmen Regulations & Application Forms
The Town of Washington Board of Selectmen is responsible for driveway permits, permits for the use of the pavilion and the enforcement of certain ordinances.

Washington Conservation Commission Forms
The Town of Washington Conservation Commission is charged with providing guidance relative to the conservation of land in the Town of Washington.

Washington Historic District Commission
The Town of Washington Historic District Commission is charged with issuing Certificates of Appropriateness relative to the towns 3 historic districts: the Washington Green, Sunny Ridge and Calhoun Street – Ives Road.
